I have been struggling with a networking issue the past few days.  I am trying to configure two routers in my house, one as a root router and the other a bridge. I configured the root router (a linksys EA4500 or something like that) and it worked fine (its IP is 192.168.1.1) and then I configured a bridge router on a tp link single band router by changing its IP to 192.168.1.2, naming it a different wireless SSID, and I made sure both routers were on channel 5 (the best for me). After all that I enabled WDS bridging, and connected to my root router. After that rebooted I disabled DHCP on the bridge router, and still no luck. The thing actually worked for a brief time the other day, then eventually it stopped. Also for some reason now I am having trouble connecting to the wireless on the bridge router at all, and when I hardwire in and ping the root router I get destination host unreachable. Not sure what to do if you have any ideas that would be awesome thanks!
