The Office Prank Thread

Currently out of ideas for office pranks (business is slow 3/5 days each week) and we have a few colleagues on leave next week so we were talking about potential pranks to welcome them back from their vacations.

Problem is, we've pretty much done all the classics, anything personal we could think of (we have a colleague that absolutely hates tomatoes) and we're drawing blanks at this point.

 

Any ideas for new things to do? Stories also welcome (and encouraged!)

Change desktop backgrounds when your coworkers are away from their desks.

 

Remove one caster from desk chairs

 

Just last week I rigged up a push-pull cable to the power switch on the PSU of one of my coworkers PC's. Every few hours I would kill his power and just turn it back on in a second or two.

 

I came to work once and one of my storage cabinets in my cubicle was filled with 1800 ping-pong balls.

 

I once inverted all the furniture in one of my coworkers offices.

 

My coworkers once suspended my desk chair from a crane in the shop.

 

Once my office was filled with 39 gallon trash cans all half full of water.

 

My workplace is perhaps a bit immature...

nice idea, but the PSUs on our PCs don't have a power switch

we don't have cubicles

done

we did something like that, but it involved the ceiling and ALOT of duct tape

water damage in an office full of PCs is a no-no
