Doesn't seem like a good deal to me.

Saving $4 for an open box? $559 used after rebate... Newegg is 563 new after rebate. Soooo, meh.

How about buy the Gigabyte 980 and save $63.

Better yet....

You only playing 1080p 60fps gaming?

get a 970 and save $230.

if you want better perf to price, get a 390X. Even a good 390X like this one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202147&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

is 100 USD cheaper and about 5-10% "worse" then the 980. While still being better then 970. So yeah....

390X is a bit overkill for 1080p, for that 390 or 970 is more then enough. But for 1440p, 390X is a gem.
