Oculus Rift DK2 Minimum Requirements

Im thinking of buying my friend a Oculus Rift DK2 for his birthday and he has sort of a cheapo pc and i need to know the minimum pc specs to run games like minecraft smoothly. I know i can run it, but he would want to know. I dont know his cpu but the gpu is a Asus GTX 650 1GB and running windows 8.1.

Part of it is r9 290 or gtx 970

He can't handle it I have a 650 and don't even try unless his CPU is enough to run 4k Minecraft above 144 fps

There are some people that say they can play minecraft with a 680 at around 70 fps

The resolution for the DK2 is 960×1080 per eye, not quite at 4k with both eyes. And you should be able to run it at 60hz instead of 144hz
