hi guys,

i wanted to ask you for some help with watercooling planing, i have a corsair c70 an i5 3570k(4.2Ghz) and a gtx 660ti.

the cpu is cooled with a swiftech h220 for now but i want to expand it, i want to add my gpu to the loop and i dont think that a slim 240mm rad could cool a cpu and a gpu(both overclocked) and i wanted to know what you think and where should i put more rads and what size should they be(if needed).

It depends. If you want to overclock your GPU and/or run your rig pretty quiet, then I'd say get another 240mm radiator to put in the bottom. If you just want some cooler temps for your GPU, just a 120mm at the rear exhaust would be capable.

CPU: 5930K @ 4.5GHz | GPU: Zotac GTX 980Ti AMP! Extreme edition @ 1503MHz/7400MHz | RAM: 16GB Corsair Dom Plat @ 2667MHz CAS 13 | Motherboard: Asus X99 Sabertooth | Boot Drive: 400GB Intel 750 Series NVMe SSD | PSU: Corsair HX1000i | Monitor: Dell U2713HM 1440p monitor

i do want my rig to quite and because i have an asus mobo i use fanexpert so half of my fans are not spinning but i thought that i would buy a 280mm rad and put it in the top and the rad from the h220 in the bottom or is that just overkill?

I know other people have had trouble with 280 rads in the top of the C70. you really would be fine with another 240mm radiator, you could turn your fans down pretty low with that set up.
