You'll be fine in games.  Not sure you'll be maxing out crysis 3, but you'll be playing most games comfortably.

If you have a decent overclock on that CPU definitely if you don't mind turning some GPU settings like AA down. If not, you may struggle in certain games that favor single-threaded performance.

 

Source: I'm running an i7-920@3.9GHz and an R9 270. Very similar setup.
