Hey guys, so I've decided that it's time to let my old PC leave my house and started looking for parts and stuff and as I am not much of a tech guy I do not know if I am not getting something stupid as I am doing a budget build (Around 700 dollars).

Heres the build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sPLv7P

Main questions would be:

1. Is this motherboard overclock compatible (If thats even a thing) and would I find overclocking that usefull.
2. Should I get an unlocked i5 for overclocking

Just feel free to give any criticizm you want. Its welcome here.

Your build looks ok but there is a few things I would change such as the ram and gpu or get a different motherboard that is black and red or just black so they go together and you cannot overclock that processor if you want to overclock you will need to get the 4690k instead and a z97 motherboard.

Would that be worth it tho?

dude it's not about overclocking whatdafuck

@PonasBebras if this is mostly for gaming go with my build but if it's for rendering go with Sam Z Man build but you'll have to learn to overclock

and to your question on a budget pc oriented for gaming it doesn't worth getting oc parts I'll suggest getting an ssd instead

OP seemed wanting to try it out, so I was just suggesting something that he could dabble with.

In my opinion you should get a non-k i5 with a H87 and get a GTX970. A better GPU is best for gaming, OCing the cpu won't help you much.

Just like @blueballs said

Telling bad jokes since 1996

Intel i5 3470/ Asus P8B75-V / 8GB 1333mhz cheap ass Kingston Ram  / XFX R9 390 / WD Caviar Blue 1TB / Crucial MX 100 256GB / Antec EA650W / Samsung SyncMaster P2370 / Steelseries Apex [RAW] / Logitech G400s / NZXT Phantom White / Moto G 2015 8GB

Why all brand new? psu is the only thing you should really be buying new, and also HDD. case GPU mobo and CPU i would all buy 2nd hand, for example. you could half the price of the build and pick up a r9 290x for example as they are REALLY cheap now all the amd fanboys are buying a new last gen gpu, because amd

best of luck mate

build it beaurtiful
