I have a shitty little acre 1, i dont know the name of it for i cant find it anywhere, the computer was bout last year.

Onboard networking is typically enabled by default. Is it not recognising the cable when plugged in?

yes, in windows 8 thing, it just says "limited" and wont even connect to it! im tired of how slow my wifi is and i want to fix it

If its detected it is turned on, if it was disabled in the BIOS windows wouldn't see it.

 

You'll need to check the settings of the card, make sure it is getting an IP address assigned by your router.
