Hello, I've been playing some games on my new rig which my friend and I put together, and this is something which I also found with my old computer.

Playing the game, and can be running at 200 fps+ and never dropping below 60, but my game will act like I've lost a lot of frames and act like it's running on 30, even with an abundance of FPS.

System specs: i7-4790k, GTX Geforce 980 TI 6GB Both with no overclocking what so ever. 2TB hard drive 2x, 120 SSD.

Has anyone got any idea what this could be, possibly my monitor?

Vsync is not normally on, could that be an issue?

No, leave it off. Does this happen with every game?

Not every game no, but League of Legends and CS GO is what I've found to be a problem.

GTA 5 and Battlefield I haven't seen an issue and I thought those would be the kind of game that would happen. I've also noticed some strange, lag when moving normal Windows explorer windows such as moving it to another monitor. and when watching YouTube videos and doing work on the other monitor.

I'm wired to my router.

Could having internet issues make my game seem like it's running at less than 30 FPS?

Is the monitor refresh rate set to the correct setting?

The max refresh rate is 60. Unless it changes for some reason throughout the game I'm not sure what it could be.

yes, lag spikes can make it feel like its running 10FPS contact your isp and ask for a router update (thats how it works in Turkey might not be the case for you tho)

Currently I am actually waiting until tomorrow for fibre to be ready and I will be getting it by the 30th.

But I've been through 2 routers, with my old computer and I had the same issue.
