Hello everyone,

I've got kind of an strange problem. The last few days my pc sometimes would not boot when I press the power button. I would have to flip the PSU switch to "0" and wait a few seconds. When I flip it back to "1" it boots. Now the power button does not work at all so to power it up I have to turn the PSU of wait a few seconds and turn it on.

I also have a power switch on the motherboard itself and that one does not work either.

I have fully tested the PSU with a multimeter and all wires were the (almost) exact voltage that they should be.

And even with just one stick of ram and nothing connected it won't boot when I press the power button.

I really have no idea what could cause the pc to only be able to boot like this, does anyone have an idea what might cause this?

Specs:

Motherboard: Asrock z77 extreme4 (with the latest bios)

PSU: Corsair AX650

RAM: 2X4GB Corsair Vengeance

CPU: i5-3570K

GPU: HD7970

Win7 64Bits

Thanks in advance for the time read and thinking about this

Thanks everyone for the replies, I have come a little further.

When hooking up another pc's power supply I don't have the problem, so it is indeed the power supply.

Ax series are known to do this man.Had 3 ax750s do the same thing

Do you know a way to fix it or do I have to replace it?
