Decent CPU fan?

Go to solution Solved by Kinda Bottlenecked,

For my newest build, I want to try and find a fan that will perform better than the heatsink fan that it comes with, but won't be too expensive.

I'm using an Intel Xeon E3 1231v3, which obivously doesn't need amazing cooling so I didn't want to splurge $30 on a Hyper 212 Evo which most people go with, so try to keep it lower than that.

Suggestions?

At $46 the Cryorig H5 can keep that CPU at 60 under load.  Which I would regard as wonderful for a long term daily use PC...

There are H7 Cryorig coolers

can't seem to find one....

You might want to look at the Raijintek Aidos

A little cooler than the 212 but also cheaper.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

Why? They're locked so you don't need a good cooler.

Get a job so you can afford a $30 cooler?

I can afford it, but I don't see a need for it. It's a Xeon processor which means that its meant to run at low temperatures.

Mostly for looks. To me the stock heatsink fan is very ugly lol. But obviously I don't need a really nice cooler so I wanted to keep it relatively cheap.

I like this one. really simple with only two heat pipes and it's blue to fit the rest of my build :D

lol you should take the 212 Evo maybe it will be useful in your next build who knows

I'm kind of still thinking about it. I might want a 120mm CPU fan so that once I upgrade my case fans, I can use one for the CPU heatsink so they'll all match. What I might do is just stick with the heatsink fan for a while until I feel like upgrading, then I'll buy a T4 or something along with a few blue 120mm fans for my case and the CPU heatsink.
