So I built a system with an asus formula iv, intel i7 4790k, and gtx 980 ti and am running into issues booting.

It ran fine when i didnt install the graphics card and was running fine when i installed it as well, but i started to run a benchmark and stepped away and when i came back a few minutes later, the system had shut down.  When i attempt to boot now the CPU fan starts to spin before the system turns off, there is a slight whine from the psu, but im not sure if that only appeared after and the system still doesnt boot when i use the psu from my brothers system, any ideas on what the problem is?

what power supply were you using? that's a pretty power hungry system. anything less than 550 watt would be pushing your luck

I have a 600 watt sfx psu, i looked up multiple psu calculators and they never said i would need more than 530 or so watts, and the system worked with the graphics card for at least 5 or 10 minutes which i found weird, power supply was the first thing i checked
