Hi.

I have a HD 5870 (I think it's Sapphire) and I can't reboot my PC properly. I have confirmed it is not my mobo, RAM or CPU. I can switch it with my mum's 5850 and the PC can reboot perfectly fine. If I do try to reboot it, it will give me a "No source found" on my monitor (not my monitor, tried several monitors and TVs). It can take up to 3 hours for me to be able to actually boot into it properly. I have since freshly installed Windows and I still get the problem. I have even tried Ubuntu.

Any help I would be VERY grateful for. Have a wonderful day. :-)

You mean boot, or reboot?

Do the fans on the 5870 spin up when you turn on the PC?

You need new storage device

Without testing the drive, I wouldn't jump to this....

There are a ton of things he can try, new sata cord, different sata port....

What kind of monitor is it, the lg monitors I implement at work have a cloud setting that makes then have a delay when turning on, and will sometimes randomly stop working.

Yes, I believe they do start to spin.

I mean reboot. I can boot if it hasn't been on within the last few hours.

I have an Intel SSD, and I have also tried Ubuntu off an old HDD. It's not the storage. As I said earlier, every other part is interchangeable EXCEPT the GPU.
