Hi all, bit of an odd question.

I want to add a couple of monitors to my system, bringing the total up to 7 permanently. I currently fluctuate between 6 and 8.

To do that, I want to offload my 4 "work" monitors onto a separate graphics card while keeping my 3 "leisure" monitors on my 780Ti SLI setup. I was originally going to get a Quadro K1200 since I will be doing colour work, but have decided to postpone that and get a GTX 960 instead to save a bit of money in the short term and upgrade in a month or two.

So if I have a GTX 960 and a 780Ti SLI setup, will I have any driver conflicts or any other issues?

Thanks

"SLI" won't work, Nvidia force the cards to be identical to work in SLI.

You can have different cards running at the same time to allow more monitors, but you won't be able to run them for double power, effectively.

I don't want to run them all in SLI. I want to run a 960 AND SLI 780tis.

Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

You're reading it wrong, though it isn't the best wording. Read it as: "GTX 960" and a "780Ti SLI setup".

So 2x 780Tis in SLI plus a 960 not in SLI.

Though question answered anyway.

Oh, excuse me :P
