I wouldn't go with the 800D unless you're doing your own loop.

Why not? the 800d is a good case.

I think its over kill what what this guy is doing, a 650d or a 600t would fair better. Also get a z77 for 3000series i7s and a z87 if you get a 4000series i7. If you dont do it correctly then you break the cpu and the board.

I still dont understand why you guys think its bad. Its a great case and it doesnt matter what his components are, If he likes the case it wont hurt him at all.

Dont use more money then you need to, also some people find huge cases a hassle after a while. He could then spend the money he saved from buying that case and put it into hardware or games or slaves.

It doesn't do air cooling to good...

I had one, and it isn't really space efficient. You would have to go custom loop and mod it to really us it to it's full potential

All nzxt phantoms are very good at air cooling, they have great water cooling potential as well if you wanna go down that road.

Depends, are you going for a full tower or a midi tower?

what kind of looks appeals the most to you?

What might you add or upgrade in the future?

If you specify I could give you better advice  ;)

The phantom are good cases, but I would go for a switch 810 if I was to get a NZXT case.

As the internals are the same but the external is a bit more appealing to me.

I think that you should go with a Fractal Design Define R4. I did a build in one the other day and it was very easy and looks great with the sleek looks similar to the 800d

The Fractal cases are awesome :D I'm using a R4 for my temporary rig http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/16089-wc-define-r4-arctic-frost/  :D
