XMP ram and AMD cpu

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

No, you will find some AMD motherboards will still have options to set the ram to XMP mode. If not do it manually yourself.

Hello everybody

I'm currently in the market for some new ram and i have my eyes on the following kits:

and

(i'd prefer to get the corsair ones because of the color)

anyway so i was wondering the kits are xmp enabled does that mean that i will have trouble running it with an amd cpu or it's more of an option if you have an intel cpu turn on xmp if you don't don't even bother? Because i used to have 8gb of kingston ram it was xmp enabled and it caused blue screens or failed boots i even had to press the mem ok button on my mobo to get it to run and even then it would run on weird voltages and frequencies. The manual of my mobo says they would both be compatible but i'd still like if someone could verify that it will run fine before i buy it.

Specs are:

mobo: asus m5a99fx pro rev 2

grafics: 2x gigabyte radeon 7950

cpu: amd phenom II 965

ssd: cruical bx100 250gb

sshd: seagate laptopthin 500gb

thank you for reading and even more for replying
