Ok so I have a macbook pro and have been interested on getting a external GPU setup going. Unfortunately they are all really large because they use desktop cards which require a lot of power(bigger PSU) and cooling. Im interested in if it would be possible to make a MxM based compact external GPU. I was thinking of getting a MxM 970m and somehow converting it to Thunderbolt 2 and using it on my Macbook Pro. Does anyone have any clue of how to do this? I have seen a couple of PCIe to Thunderbolt 2 setups but nothing using the MxM cards.
