Win98 key doesnt work

ive been trying to get windows 98 working on dosbox, but when i install windows and write in the CD key, it just gives me an "key doesnt work error"

so i found a way that you could bypass the cd key process online, he told me that i should find the offset : "1DD7h" and "1DDfh"

i went into a hex editor, but when i pressed Ctrl + F i couldnt find any of the offsets he mentioned

am i doing something wrong?

Yep. I made it years ago so I wouldn't need to keep track of multiple disks when working with computers of different ages. And I'm glad I did as I've lost all 3 original disks. But the custom CD is better anyway for the fact that it doesn't need a boot floppy.
