I just reset my Desktop to factory settings (computer kept freezing and other issues). I built it myself.
Built it some time last November.

I can't fully remember which drivers I had installed and from which sources.

Which drivers would I need to install, and where could I find them?

The current components for which I think I'd need drivers are:

Processor

Motherboard

DVD Drive

My build:

Are these the only components that would require drivers?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, I would like to create a backup of my PC at this point in time. What feature should I use to create such a backup?
I would like the backup to save an exact copy of all of my programs, drivers, etc. so that in the future, I do not need to re-install drivers again.
A system restore would just get overwritten after a while.
I'm thinking of a creating a system image. Though I have never done this before.
What exactly is a system image?
How much storage space would it require?
How should I create a system image?
On which drive should I create the system image?
Can it be on a USB or does it have to be on an external hard drive?
~~~

I am also thinking about whether cloning the drive would be more appropriate. Same questions above would apply here. Can the clone just be created onto a small USB with just about enough storage as my SSD currently uses.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

CPUs don't use drivers, that part is done with chipset driver. Also, very few ODD currently uses drivers. Most are PnP. So initially, you will need following drivers from mobo support site. Remember to download latest or use mobos software suite to do it automaticly.

- Chipset

- Audio

- VGA (if you are using integrated graphics)

- LAN

- USB3

- Wireless

- SATA (better get all of them)

- Bluethooth

And drivers for you graphics card and any peripherals you use.
