The build im planning is a personal cloud storage server, always on. (except during storms) The problem im having is, IDK what parts I should get to best reduce vibrations thought the server. I'm planning on using the bitfenix prodigy, either mini itx or standard atx size case. And Seagate enterprise hdd's. A haswell cpu if possible. And that's about all. If you guys can suggest to me parts that are able to reduce potential vibrations and be affordable at the same time (hopefully), I would greatly appreciate it. I ask because IDK what to look for in the product specs on this problem...

Thx Again!!!!!

How much storage are you shooting for? Budget?

What software are you using to manage your server?

Storage - up to 4 2tb drives

Budget - as low as possible, but still effective

server os - WHS 2011

Bare minimum but still quality: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1krvA (Just happens to have a simple red/black theme)

Has 4 sata ports and 4 internal 3.5in bays.

More expandability: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1kryp

8 native sata 6gb/s ports and onboard raid 0, 1, 5, and 10 support. Case has 8 internal 3.5in bays.

You might want to look into FreeNAS.

For hdds, WD Reds would be nice. The 3TB models have a thicker and more robust enclosure and are nearly silent.

Seagate barracudas also have good performance and are cheap
