if its for gaming take a non "k" serie cpu. overlocking the cpu isnt going to get you better FPS in games. i5-4690 is the standard.

I would pick Fractal Design S over R5.

Regular CD/DVD writer/Reader at 15$ is fine too.

Other thn that his suggestion is great.

Might as well get an i7 if your dropping 2k on a pc...

For gaming an unlocked i5 + 980 Ti is better.

Depends on the resolution.   :D the Fury X I heard stomps the 980 ti at higher resolutions, and as for 1080p I have no clue.  Wish people would add more to their op, so we can go off that.  :S

I dont base my statements on rumors. Like when they said the 390X stomped the 980 but it really was just a neck to neck encounter. So yeah... ^_^

Well, that was more based on the resolution.  But, so much can change that.  Drivers to API to hw utilization.

Yes the extra 2GB VRAM of the 390X made a difference on higher resolution gaming especially with AA enabled. Still doesn't justify the word "stomped".

ASRock are good motherboard manufacturers and also to fit the build in the budget.
