10K dollar Build

I had a client that said he wanted a 10 thousand dollar build. However, I imminently explained that it would be hard to do, and the sleek most modern parts tend to be a rip off price to performance wise.

He currently has an i7-4790k, GTX 780, 16GB of DDR3 ram, and lots of other goodies. So it needs to be an upgrade. I want to know what you think of the build so far. I'll have him pick out a case and keyboard/mouse. But any suggestions would be good. The current plan is RED and Black Themed. Probably with a hard pipe liquid cooling system. I'm not new to painting parts either.

This is what I'm looking at currently

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pZngcf

Edit 1. He wants to do video editing and live streaming. So Storage space is important for archiving, and cpu power can come in handy.

only thing that's bothering me is the DVD writte & the windows 7 part ,

PSU can be ax1500i, not about power draw but silence & efficiency is a bit more from the 1200 variants according to a review i saw from ttl..

Details separate people.

I can. but the 780 ti is similar performance with just less memory. And the upgraded CPU just seems like too much money for the performance.

What does he use it for?

My suggestion would be to beat some sense into him if it's for gaming.

Yes, gaming. But he did mention wanting to do nvidia Surround. Which may take advantage of the GPU power. CPU wise I would almost still prefer the 4790k.

Just because he said 10k dosn't mean I want to push that big of a bill on him. I would feel better buying a very high performance (sensible) build.

That PC would be my definition of happiness. Spend the rest on 3 4K displays, and peripherals. if you have extra, hell put another Titan X in, you are already wasting a lot of money lol. Dont want to waste money? Dont need 12GB? buy a 980 Ti.

Give him a 18 core Xeon :)  This build is for bragging rights anyways.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

Yes, Some custom fans would be great. Also I'm planning on 2 980 Ti. However I'm curious if it can run triple 1440p gaming.

What you could do is drop to a 1tb SSD and get a 3tb Western Digital Black Series and that would be plenty. Put a lot,of time and effort into aesthetics with the water cooling, LEDs, modding, Don't let him spend that Kindda money in storage alone. I'll be back soon with other stuff to change
