Windows 8.1 not loading

Go to solution Solved by adman29,

So I've figured it out after taking some much needed sleep. Basically the only thing that'd changed between the last successful boot and then was that I'd plugged in my Ipod to my computer -- Therefore It'd be logical to try it without the Ipod. So after unplugging my ipod and turning the computer on, Windows booted successfully and even my Headphones turned back on!

Thanks for all of the help guys, Really appreciate it!  :D

Hi guys,

After coming home from work today I got onto my computer and put my headphones on and noticed that they were 1) not recieving power and 2) decided that I ought to restart the computer, because that's always my first logical idea to troubleshooting. After the computer posted, and detected all of the drives through AHCI, the windows splash screen appeared and when the spinning dots were supposed to happen 2 would appear and then just freeze and stop.

Now I thought that this was no big deal, and proceeded to insert my Windows 8.1 Disk to reinstall Windows, however when I attempted to boot from the CD, the Windows splash screen would appear, but nothing else would happen, and the disk drive would stop spinning and having activity and just sit there.

If anyone has any ideas, could you please, please help me save my computer

can you boot into safe mode ? see if there was an update that needs rolling back.

can you get into the BIOS ? is everything visible, hdd , etc ?

have you pulled the HDD and tried to boot from the CD.

tried the HDD on a different header / header that feeds to a different controller if available

Can't get it into safemode now, It's just kinda sitting there and now saying preparing automatic repair.

Everything seems to be visible inside of the BIOS

Tried booting from the CD, but It sits at the same splash screen, not really doing anything, except now it sits at one single dot.

:/ I'm going to let it sit for a lil while, and come back. If anyone has any ideas, again please please help me....
