I am not sure if this is the right place to put it but it is related to fans so...

I had an old computer gathering dust with Windows Vista still, so i decided to clean it up and do some cable management (apparently HP don't like to cable manage at all) and after cleaning the hard drive I installed Ubuntu server so i could use it for a few thing around the house, However after I cleaned the computer up and turned it on after about a year or so without turning on I realised the System fan header wasn't powering the fan which was weird, after messing around I realised the fan turns on for a few seconds and then it stops, because I am lazy I just installed the fan with a 3 pin to molex adapter if works more than fine, however every time i turn the computer on the Bios gives me an error saying no fan is detected on the 3 pin i can press f2 and dismiss it and it works but it is a hassle having to press f2 when the server is only plugged to the network and power constantly since I can remotely control it.

Do you guys have any ideas of what could I do to maybe fix the 3 pin on the motherboard or maybe fool the computer into thinking it has a fan in the system header?(I don't know what would happen if i just shorted the 3 pin but it should thing it has a fan connected am I right?)

Is it the CPU fan header that's not working, or is it just a random fan? Cause if it's just a CPU fan, you might be able to disable the warnings from your BIOS.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.
