As an ROG Fan with a 980 who is buying a second 980.

 

Not worth it.

 

I dont see the need in Gsync in my life.

If you want g sync sure. Also check out  the acer model. I hear its a bit better. But I have no user experience with them. If you dont need gsync you can save at least a couple hundred. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009742&cm_re=acer_144hz_g_sync-_-24-009-742-_-Product

Depends on your definition of worth it. What is 800 bucks to you. Its a very different if you make 5k a month vs 1k a month. Also have you ever used a 144hz panel before? Gsync does help smooth out the video but it also add 150 bucks to your costs.

 

Linus recently did a video where he was looking at some IPS panel and he said he'd happily sacrifice some response time to get those colors that just pop. How do you value that?
