hey so i am pretty sure i know the answer to this question but i figured i would ask anyway. I have an asus strix 980 but i in the future like the next year or two i want to go sli with two cards for an x99 build. would it be better to stick to an 980 sli or is it actually worth it to go for the 980 ti?

In terms of performance 980 sli will be quite better than a single 980ti. Keep this in mind though, unless you already have a powerful PSU you'll likely need to get a new one for the extra 980.
