There have been updates to the R9 290/R9 390 and some to the 780.

 

The R9 390 is better than the 780, but only by a bit ( I will go look for benches now )

But you get more Vram with the R9 390.

 

Are you comparing new or used OP ?

Do you already own the 780 ? then keep it.

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

So these are second hand ?

If you already have a loop, get a 290,

If you don't have a loop, get the R9 390.
