I think for gaming you are cutting your corners in the wrong place.

The graphics card you posted doesn't have a price next to it, so it's not adding to your total budget/amount.

I assumed you are adding another $200ish dollars there... so with that budget in mind....

Ditched the AMD CPU/Motherboard, gotcha something upgradeable without having to buy a new motherboard EVER. (well 5 years)

no need for a cooler, as that sick ass Intel CPU can overclock without one.

You can get even lower priced memory, so I did, you are going to get the same performance, so enjoy.

Pretty much the same, little cheaper HDD.

Graphics card. Seems for <$180 the 280 is the best one you can get. Turns out XFX is having a great sale on theirs.

Cheaper case, cause its just a freaking case. dont need anything fancy.

Same PSU, its not a great one, but it works.

Dont know why you are getting a cd drive. that era is dead, but you have it, so i put it.

Feel free to swap the memory, case, hdd, or RAM to something similar price, but your base Motherboard, CPU, PSU, and GPU should be the same. GL

It would be better as a budget productivity build but for gaming it isn't worth it. What is the purpose of your build? What is your budget?

The FX-6300 should only be there if you want to stream games.
