Kingston HyperX Cloud II

7.1 surround is a gimmick.

I didn't even realise there was an Audio subforum! At any rate, my headphones are starting to crackle, so I need some suggestions on a new pair.

I want it to have excellent sound quality, be reliable, and have 7.1 surround sound. Built in mic is preferable, but I won't be too butt hurt about getting a modmic (even though they're kind of expensive). I can skip on the 7.1 surround if it's stupid expensive.

Any suggestions?

Is the Cloud II significantly better than the Cloud? I can pick up the Cloud at my local store for a fair price.
