Ram or motherboard issues?

Hey everyone, just wanted to start by thanking everyone on my previous posts for all the help and info. I'm attempting my first build, the core components are the i75820k (cooled by the be quiet dark rock pro 3, this will come in to play), 32gb's g.skill ripjaw series 2400 mhz ddr4 ram on an asrock x99 extreme4 mobo. When I first powered it on I noticed only one of the ram sticks was showing up in the bios, so to diagnose, as this it's my only x99 and ddr4 hardware, I was lucky enough that the one dimm posting happened to be on the side of the heatsink I could get under. When I swapped sticks from slots a1 and b1 the system wouldn't post, the power was running fine, the games were going, but nothing was posting to the monitor. Strange part was, when I put the dimms back into the configuration that got me at least one posting, the same thing happened, i.e. power, fans, lights but no post to the monitor. Any ideas out there as to whether this is the ram or the mobo? Thanks again everyone for all the information.

i would start with a bios update. weather you download the bios update from a different system and install via usb or only use the one dimm of ram to boot then download and install from the same system is up to you. also what speed is your ram set to in the bios?

That's the thing,ever since I tested them in the other slots it just doesn't send a signal to the monitor anymore, even in the configuration that initially posted one dimm

Okay, so I unmounted the dark rock pro 3 and tested each dimm separately. They all worked! So, I tested each dimm addition until all for posted. It was hard work, it was a project and a half (last night I burned a 750 watt evga psu!) But I finally got my build to work! I want to thank you and everyone who provided advice!
