Hi,

I am thinking of buying a new case. My current system -for most parts- is about two years old.

In about a year or two I will probably replace a lot of the parts. my current case is a HAF X.

It wasn't the case I ordered, I ordered a budget case. But the delivery company destroyed my orignal order,

so they replaced my budget case by the more expensive HAF X. Now two years later,

I am really fed up by the aesthetics of this case. Next too that it also is too big, too loud and collects a lot of dust.

I primarily use my computer for gaming. And my current build costed around 1000 euro or 1150 dollar.

I was thinking about spending around 100 euro or 115 dollar on the case.

Currently I like the NZXT H440. I like how this case looks, but i've read that cable management might be a problem with the side panel.
I like the hidden PSU and finished look, but a side window isn't necessary for me. It is an optional bonus.

I also like the the Fractal Define R5. I have read a lot of great things about it aswell.

I currently dont run watercooling, but that is mostly because i lack the knowledge to apply it.

I want the case to be:

  • aestheticly more appealing then the HAF X - It doesn't need to win a beauty paegant though
  • Less noisey
  • maintenance friendly - I don't like cleaning
  • future proof - i'm spending 1000 + euro or 1150 dollars on a new build within two years
  • Not to be a lightshow.
  • User friendly - I am no computer expert
  • able to cool my system

I was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions and tips!

maybe a be quiet silent base 800: much room for everything, quiet, beautiful (in my eyes) and orderable with 3 different colours on the front (intakes): orange, silver and black. You don't need fans, there are three in it and they are damn quiet. additionally, i don't have any dust problems because of good dust filters and a good intake design.

EDIT: also enough room for cable managment and even possibilities for watercooling, big mainboard cutout, the middle screw of the mainboard is no screw but a thing to hold the mainboard in place, place for 2ssd's behind the mainboard tray....

I read some great things about the Be Quiet silent base 800, but also some negative feedback on its cooling.

I really like the looks of the NZXT H440, but apart from looks it just doesn't compete with the other cases at my price range.

The CM silencio just isn't my thing.

I've read some great things about the Enthoo Pro and the the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv which I like even more - aesthetic wise -, does any one have feedback on these cases?

don't know what they mean with cooling problems on the silent base 800....

my gpu and cpu under full load don't go over 60°C -- is that what they call cooling problem? One thing is kind of a problem: if you open the front flap, temps decreases by 3-5°C, but no problem as they both are only 60°C (i'm running stock 3 fan setup)
