I am building a custom case and it is very important to understand the mobo dimensions, it is also important for choosing the right mobo.

My concern is this http://www.sapphiretech.com/productdetial.asp?pid=D40475DB-8BD0-40F6-8C33-F12D63272AEC〈=eng

I am trying to build a micro atx crossfire case hence i have a limited number of pcie slots. The card linked above says that it is a 2.2 pcie form factor what does it mean, does it mean i cant cf these cards placed at the 1st and 3rd pcie slots?

Other question. Can you suggest me a z97 matx mobo that has pcie3 x8 bandwidth on two pcie slots that is as small as possible(i have seen matx mobos with 5 pcie slots, looking for something with 3 or 4)

First get r9 290x. It's cheaper and performs the same.

well the case compatibility is just depending on the lenght and width, form factor doesn't matter.

Ok, can i cf 4.2 cm cards on the 1st and 3rd slots or would these count as 3 slot gpus is my question

That's height, it looks like a 2 slot card, basically any card that doesn't go over the pci bracket is 2 slot. But that is not case compatibility. mATX mobos only have 4 slots so.
