I ordered a Athlon x4 860k, hopefully it comes in one piece, So, I just wanted to know is there anything I should know before I upgrade? Any mistakes that you have done?while changing cpu? so, I can be extra careful about those, Currently I have an a4 6300, with r9 270, so I should a get a huge performance boost. I unfortunately don't have anti-static band, so that's one of my concerns

well, it seems like your 6300 is FM2, and your new one will be FM2+, so i guess its not compatible (as far as googling their sockets)

Don't worry about an antistatic strap, it's not as though the world is going to end if you don't use one. It's very advicable to ground yourself before working on any electronic components, but I've personally never bothered, and I've yet to break my first piece of hardware that way...
