Hello, when ever I drag my mouse on my desktop the square turns the background black, it turns back to normal within like 10-15 minutes when I drag back over the black parts. I have no idea why this is happening. I have googled this and all I have got from it is checking for corrupted windows files and I had 1 which I have fixed. I have reinstalled windows and drivers before but this keeps happening. Anyone know why this would be happening or how to fix it?

Is this the system that is in your signature specs? If so, try removing the Gigabyte 970 (obviously with the system off) and then see if it does it again. I think it may be your GPU.

Ok I will try this tomorrow but why would it be my gpu?

For some reason, it sounds like a GPU problem, but it is most likely not, but you might as well try. Make sure if you do that, to plug your monitor into integrated graphics. Instead of that, I think that it might be a performance issue. Is this the same system in your signature?

Ok, would you rather try booting your system in safe mode or removing the GPU first?

Ill probably try removing gpu but I was looking around in my files and I have some amd files would this maybe contribute to this happening

Possibly. I would have no idea why you would have any AMD files at all since you have a NVIDIA GPU and an Intel CPU.

These files are in C:/Windows/WEinSxS and there is a bunch of them. When I checked for corrupted files one of the amd files were corrupted but now is fixed.

Okay. I honestly don't fully understand the issue, my apologies. If you could, please screenshot or capture the issue so that I could see it myself. It would help a lot!

I will next time this happens
