sony vaio audio issue

so my daily driver laptop is a sony vaio VPCF2290x and after 3 years i had to replace the thermal paste and clean out all the dust. after putting it back together i get a white noise sound when i try to play videos then unless i go to playback devices in windows and switch it to dolby digital out and then back again to speaker/hp itll work until the video is over with then when i click on another video it starts all over again i have to change the audio settings. I've finally had enough and just need to fix it. I have no idea whats wrong ive taken it apart multiple times to check the speakers physically and i see no damage at all. please help!

I can't believe i never thought of the drivers, that was the issue everything works great now. Thank you so much
