So... about the m.2 slot on the new Aorus laptops and the "Optional Hardware Encoder"

 

Since this encoder fits in an m.2 slot, can I assume that I would be able to purchase this media encoder seperately to add to my previous model Aorus x7 Laptop?

You already have a Avermedia capture card built in.Why do you want another one?

I don't. I have the Aorus x7v2, the old model without a capture card

I think you should be able to but idk if they are going to sell those by themselves. I'm surprised nobody else did any kind of review or at least first look at it's capabilities. Seems pretty interesting with the number of people streaming these days.

Yeah, and with having a spare m.2 slot stock on my Laptop, I am quite interested in this. My drive space is sufficient enough with 256gb SSD Boot in Raid 0 and a 1TB Storage Drive on top of that.
