I'm a moderately long term iOS user who switched to an HTC One M8 last year.

The biggest thing that I've learned is that there is literally nothing that I've ever done on Android that couldn't be done on iOS, or vice versa. It honestly just doesn't matter at all (at least for my uses).

Edit: I've found that the Pandora app on Android doesn't display song titles or the correct timestamps on songs when I play music in my car over bluetooth. iOS works flawlessly in that regard.. ;)

Other than that one petty complaint, I like the One M8..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

Android doesn't require you to fill the screen with shit (And actually allows you to hide applications). That's like 100% the single biggest deal breaker for IOS with me.

I feel like there's a lot more ability to customize things with Android. The absolute only thing I prefer about iOS over Android is that Apple products pictures taken with their cameras seem to be better in my opinion. But I'm hands down an android fan.

iOS is good for normal, everyday use of iTunes and the internet and such.

Android has much better customization and you can do more with it. Google Play store isn't quite up to snuff and the best music distribution is probably Amazon.

I use Android, but iOS is good for phones/tablets.

The Apple Watch is still stupid though.

tbh fo using a iphone 4 and ipods throughout my life. (next phone is android. I want to see a change)

iv gotten used to it. I payed a few apps here n there. but thats it. the only problem I have with it is that I can't find a ios device like the iphone 4 (maybe a tad bigger, not taller) with updated hardware. as the iphone 4 is getting rusty. but I love the ease of use of the thing. everything just, works. exept for my 5 years old touch screen and home button :P

IOS is more simplified but limited, I would get it for old people that cannot handle a toaster, If it didn't cost a arm and a leg. It really comes down to what you like some people justify the price for the design and build quality. But it's really just a brand name. I would go with android you get more freedom to do what you want on your own device.

Pro iOS: great UI, high resale value, great energy management, less fragmentation, seems more stable, apple warranty, at least 2 years of software updates, build quality, protects your privacy better

Pro Android: more devices available, cheaper, customizable ui, you can do what you want with your device, uses standardized port for charging

I use a galaxy s4 rooted and rom'd, and a iphone 5, both every day. honestly it doesnt matter. the iphone 5 is MILES ahead smoother, but with my galaxy I slapped a 5200mah battery on, and it hasn't died in a day yet.

granted, thats sad it needs a battery 4x the size of the iphone to make it 1.5x as long, but i do use it heavier, and it has a problem of heating up to 68*Cish everyday.

android has customizability, but who cares. honestly. its cool for the first 5 minutes, then after that it honestly doesn't matter. I have a couple heavy power user apps on the android, like for networking, that would never happen on a iphone, but thats a niche use case.

I recommend people to just use whatever phone feels best in hand. I love the LG g series with the buttons on the back, but iphones just feel so nice in the hand

What are your best arguments to switch from android to iOS and IOS to android?

You can't download anything directly on IOS (only image files).

No actually file storage.

Low customization choices (backgrounds... That's it).

Expensive for what you get.

Crappy video and photos.

Not enough RAM for a third-party browser (Chrome for example).

Not enough accessibility options (not a lot of shortcuts).

No physical upgradability (apart from a new case).

That sums it up.

What are your best arguments to switch from android to iOS and IOS to android?

I don't trust Google for as far as I can throw them, but since it cant be picked up . . . .

IOS phones take great pictures but that is about all I can really say I like about them.

I use a windows phone because its stupid simple to use (and my first one was from work). I would really rather have my flip phone back but that's never going to happen now a days.

Sorry i guess I didn't answer your question.

this topic has been flamed and baked many times in the past. so rather than open

old wounds, we'd prefer to have better discussions than pitting OS's against each

other for no apparent reason than arguing which is better to switch to/from..
