- Buy an mSata to Sata adapter and use it as a normal drive.

- Send it back / sell it and buy a porper M.2 drive.

- Use it in you labtop, they often have mSata.

Everybody calm down please. He needs help.

So your mobo have M.2 slot, and you've gotten a M.2 drive.

Unplug the GPU if possible, use integrated graphic for now.

Install the drive, make sure you have compatible key (B and M keys).

Go to BIOS/UEFI and check M.2 drive setting. Your amazon link indicates that the drive support SATA3 only. So set it to sata mode, not pcie.

If you see it on BIOS, go to disk manager and check.

@ 10xephos01

Sorry I was confused. Forget what I said.

I found this information:

"The SATA5 and SATA6 ports will be unavailable when installing a module in the M.2 port."

Are you using the SATA5 or 6 port? The M.2 migth get disabled automaticly when you use them.

According to MSI website http://us.msi.com/product/mb/Z97-GAMING-5.html#hero-specification

Make sure your OS runs on UEFI mode, M.2 not supported by legacy bootloader.

And try to update bios to latest version, go to the link above
