Quick question about RMA packaging.

Go to solution Solved by Rheinwasser,

they are, just make sure its the right way around.

gpu and motherboard are the same. the original cpu packaging would be better of course.

Hey,

I'm doing an RMA on my FX-6300, everything’s been approved to ship out. Before I start packing it I need to know something.

It says to use anti-static bag for returning, I assume the bags GPU's and motherboards come in are anti-static?

I have a bag from an MSI R7 250. The bag says Conductive Grid on it, so I assume this means I can ship it in that?

Would a bag from a motherboard be better to ship it in?

Thanks,

Patrick

Do you have the little plastic case? It'll stop the pins from getting damaged.. If not then yes, any of the bags with a kind of check pattern on them or slightly metallic look will work.

I currently have it in the original plastic CPU container, of course.

I'm trying to make sure I have all the grounds covered, don't want to have them ship it back for no reason.

Thanks for the help,

Patrick

In that case your golden as plastic is an insulator anyway.. But if you want to be double sure then drop it in a anti-static bag too.. If posting I would bubble-wrap and bend some heavy box card around it too.. :)
