Hey guys, just wondering if there any issues with this build. I'm all set to purchase everything, just have a few doubts! :)

Here's the build ====> http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/7YDzwP

First of all, will the GPU actually fit in the case? It says I may have to remove drive bays ( I believe they are vertical drive bays) , but will I still have a place to install my SSD? There is a spot behind the motherboard however I dont want to do that :( ( I also have a 2TB External Hard Drive for storage)

What do ye guys think the temps will be like? The case comes with 2 stock fans, one intake and one exhaust. I am however buying a noctua fan. I think il swap this one in for the stock intake fan and install that one on the top of the case. Should that be ok? Also how do I know if this noctua fan is compatible with my motherboard?

Also I couldnt find the model of the optical drive that I am buying on the website that I am buying from. This is it ===>

I haven't a clue about optical drives and just need to know if this one will do for installing Windows OS on my SSD. Thanks guys :)

Sorry for all the questions guys, but really need your advice :)

Very nice build mate! Keep air pressure in your case positive with filtered intake and you'll be fine :) Any fan you buy now (consumer grade) is either PWM or non-PWM and it is destined to work with your motherboard.

Double the SSD space, custom cooler for the cpu and the case has enough fans in already.. (if you need it to be less, take out the fan or drop the ssd back to 120 GB, (I'd remove the cooler))

If you have some wiggle room in the budget, get a board that can do SLI (msi krait is £89) and go back to a 600W psu.

(like this for £769 is great value.. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/KtGjkL or without a cooler for £740.. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/RLQRXL )

Download and install windows (make usb boot drive, there are tutorials) instead of buying a drive for the os install only.

Ahhh oh thank you! Sorry I should have clarified, but what connector will come with that fan, 3 pin or 4 pin? :o

I'm buying off Scan.co.uk and it's another 30 pounds for the 250GB SSD! :( Some CPU coolers can be very expensive. For the time being I will just stay woth the stock cooler, I will upgrade in a few months time :) Not interested in SLI, I think one GPU will do the job for me :) How big would the USB have to be? Mine is only 16Gb :(

Buy off the cheapest (especially those with free shipping).. you just costing yourself money..

16GB is more than enough.

The one I linked is generally regarded as one of the best performing coolers for a reasonable price. And has been for a few years.

If your dead set to use scan.. set the filter to only use scan.. But I think your mad to throw away money if they are much more expensive than nova or amazon or OCUK.. (From ireland BTW, bought from most of these..)

Also possibly worth a look with the strong £ is buying from the continent... Euro prices are very good at the moment for you.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Yes I am going to get the cooler you linked! :) Thanks very much! To be honest the reason I was going with Scan is because of their Scansure insurance (Hassle free return and replacement if I make a mess of installing)

However I will check out amazon, I tried some of the parts however some wont ship to ireland :(

Yea, that can be an issue..

installing parts are easy.. just don't force anything... firm pressure is the most thats needed in 95% of cases.. And if there is something dead, well it's dead, return it..

If you do break something, you can just say thats the way it was when you opened it. Just don't leave the build for a week after you get the bits. :)

Thanks dude you've been a great help, Need more people like you on these forums haha! :D

One more thing, some reviews say that the Cooler Master CPU cooler is quite large, is there anyways if you could tell me if it would fit? I hear that RAM clearance can be an issue :o

No problem for the case, the ram might be tight but there is other cheaper ram you can get that will fit (like the kingston fury 1866 black single stick is about £47)

Find it here

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/RLQRXL

BTW, there is no real performance difference from single-channel - dual channel - tri - quad channel memory (there is but you need a benchmark to notice it)

Is there any way to know for sure? kinda like the corsair ram haha :)

Updated the post above.. But first thing is, you don't have a window, so looks aren't really an issue.(not that the kingston looks bad)

These days, most ram is ram.. little to no difference.

If you really want the corsair, you should be fine with the outer set of slots and if not, you can move the fan up the cooler a bit or turn it round to face the other way.

Perfect, thank you very much. Yes I was planning on using the outer slots! Thanks very much man! :D
