CST 2545W-RC R2 Trackball left click makes two sounds...

Hello my cst trackball has started to play up and the left click button is making two sounds when I click it, one normal sound and a second, more annoying sound and i've tried to fix it but have so far found nothing, apart from the if I unscrew the right screw (looking from the bottom) the second noise stops but the top piece isnt completely secure, so thats not a solution...

thanks for the help (if someone meraculously knows how to fix it of course)

btw. I cant contact cst support as i'm in australia and they're only reachable by phone/fax so it would cost a fortune ;(
