Looking into a case for a MSI gtx980

I'm new to building PCs. I have a MSI GTX980 graphics card in mind, but it isn't quite set in stone. I was looking at a cooler master elite 431 plus for my build, but I'm reconsidering since the MSI GTX980 is a long card and the elite 431 plus looks like it supports card up to 12.4". I also plan on just using air to cool the system. My question is should I look for a different case that can support such a long card? If I remember right, there would only be like 1" or 1.5" of room.

why low en case for such a great card / gaming pc. I suggest you buy Mid Size ATX Case tht cost around $80-130.

You won't regret it. otherwise you'll feel your PC looks cheap n ugly.

I built my dad's pc using the 431, barely fits an MSI GTX 960 1 mill edition. It's almost touching the drive bays and there's barely any space to cable manage.

Personally I would recommend the Fractal Design R4/R5, cause it looks great and has large amounts of space to cable manage.

That right there is my concern. There is such little space and I'm going to need as much airflow as I can get.

I can spend about $100 American if I had too, but would rather not if I can get away with it. And thanks for the forum tip, been years since I was apart of any kind of forum.

That Corsair Carbide 300R might be my best bet. Doesn't appear to come with any fans, but that's a easy fix.
