There's 4 generations of i3 CPUs. We need to know what socket and chipset your mobo is running on. For 4690k you will need Z/H87 or Z/H97. Z if you want to OC (which I assume you do since K-version), H if you don't. If you already have Z/H87 chipset or equivalent, you will need to update BIOS for compability.
