100% core clock and memory clock while idle? Help

Go to solution Solved by flibberdipper,

I'm planning to buy a second monitor this month, now i'm having second thoughts because I idle at 58c on a single monitor :/

it's 0% on idle, on 100% my load temps are 67-68c. My friend has the same card as me but he idles at 35c so i was really bothered by it :/ but our load temps are pretty much the same. Does this affect the longevity of the card by any means?

Until you start getting into the 90s you're fine...

My problem is the title above, I have a ASUS R7 260x 2gb. I've already uninstalled my old drivers using DDU 15.3 and installed the latest Catalyst Drivers 15.5.

My idle temps on auto fan speed is at 58c, i've set a user defined fan control now my temps are at 52c but it's still bothering me. TIA

58c is nothing to worry about. What are your load temps? those are what really matters.

What does the "gpu usage" chart show?

it's 0% on idle, on 100% my load temps are 67-68c. My friend has the same card as me but he idles at 35c so i was really bothered by it :/ but our load temps are pretty much the same. Does this affect the longevity of the card by any means?

The thread is answered, but I'll just come in to confirm that your temperatures are perfectly fine and you could even make a more silent fan curve with no worries whatsoever.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
