I have a set of klipsch rm-15m that i use with a harmon kardon avr 354 hooked up to my pc. However the problem i have with this is that i only get sound when using the pre-out which means no amp which makes for really quiet audio. I can figure out why but no matter what other port i plug my rca to 3.5mm cord into i get no sound at all unless it is in the pre-out which is to quiet. Someone please help!

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

Could you be a little more specific/add some pictures of how you're doing it? I have a few questions...

  • What is your source?
  • What kind of cable are you using to go from your source to the receiver? (what are the terminations)
  • What input do you use for your source?
  • How are your speakers hooked up to the receiver? (RCA to speaker cable, or just with speaker cable?)

As far as what has been said, this doesn't even have anything to do with Windows.

Honestly all of his posts are like this. Completely not helpful.

You've got a setup that good and you aren't using a DAC? Epic fail bro...

You can't hook a hifi directly to your computer dude. The sound is sheit. You need a DAC. Pick up a TEAC UD 301 or UD 501 you won't regret it. They are great.

Intel Inside. Overweight guy in his 30's outside.

This isn't even true. You do not need a DAC. The Harmon Kardon already has one. Absolutely no need to do that. Regardless, I'm not entirely sure that OP will be returning to this thread, as it's been a few days. (I do, however, hope to be wrong)

Maybe quoting OP will give him the notification he needs. @OP, follow your own posts, or stuff like this will happen!
