AMD Catalyst driver help

My computer wont istall AMD Catalyst driver becase every time it does it says failed to load detection driver. Please help me this is a huge pain....

don't use the auto detect. just download the correct one for your product. I've never had luck with the auto detect.

but that is the thing when i install the catlyist it pops up as failed to load detection driver.

ok i whent to http://support.amd.com/en-us/downloadand then i whent under where is says drivers and support then i pressed windows 8.1 64bit then i installed there catlyist software and when i got to the two green bars it sais  failed to load detection driver

have you checked to make sure that you are not already updated some times they will still update but error out at the end.

its under device manager. you would check the device properties.

Well these instructions aren't very good or you're going about this wrong.  When you go to the link you've provided just scroll down and under the "Automatically Detect and Install Your Driver" section just click on the orange "Download Now" button.  Then just run the program and it will figure out what video card and everything you have and tell you which driver you need.  No need to select anything.

 

Also, PLEASE make sure that you have uninstalled any other AMD software before installing the latest driver.
