Go to solution Solved by bob345,

Its compatible. As long as a motherboard has pci express which prety much all of the do, then any gpu will fit.

I'm thinking of buying a EVGA 04G-P4-2983-KR 4G GTX 980 SUPERCLOCKED ACX PCI-E VGA Card, Will it be compatible with the motherboard which is, Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK

Of course. As long as any motherboard has a PCI-Express slot, that GPU (in fact, any GPU) would be compatible.

Well, you know now that someone has the big cash to spend :P .

But OP, I would suggest you to wait a few days and see what AMD has to offer. The official unveiling is on the 16th, so a few days from now.
