Overclocking Cpu Cache and dual RAM ?

Go to solution Solved by UltraNeonGaming,

nǐ hǎo,

I'm running a 4690k @ 4.5GHz at 1.24V. Currently I leave cache ratio at auto. Should I raise the cache? and how much is enough?

Also, I have one stick of 8GB RAM.Does adding another stick improve performance?

Cache Ratio barely makes a difference when increased from stock, a minute performance improvement might be seen if you're folding but I would just leave it at auto, because it doesn't make a difference at all and will probably make your overlock unstable.

If you add another stick of RAM it will really improve your performance by a lot because the 2 sticks will run in dual channel mode.

It will definitely make a very noticeable performance boost.

Dual channel memory technically can improve performance. By how much? Very little, to the point where you wouldn't even notice it most likely.
