CCTV Setup?

Hey there,

This is just my curiosity speaking right here but anybody here know how to DIY a CCTV setup? (or know of any cheap 4-camera kits of devent quality)

I'm looking to get the costs estimated just to see if it would be possible to set one up within my budget...

Thanks.

I have a DS215j https://www.synology.com/en-us/products/DS215jbut if you would be getting it just for survalance then I would go with a VS240HD  https://www.synology.com/en-us/products/VS240HD

The just Amazon search a IP Camera and choose something that is right for what you are using it for. I use DLink.

You also need a hard drive and I would get a WD one. I think it is there purple that it optimised for survalance.

I'll try and look for them locally... I know of a cheap place to get IP cameras complete with nightvision capability...

the problem would be the NAS... I only know one place that carries their basic model... and not the latest one at that...

Amazon is not a viable option in my country...

I didn't get mine if Amazon, my local pc store had it. I am on mobile so can't see where you have your location.

What's your budget?

I last picked up a CCTV system with 4 camera's and a 1Tb hdd inside a 15" screen for 700 Euro in Belgium.

Not that it is _that_ great, but it may do.

No budget yet... I'm just getting a rough estimate on how much cash I need to gather before I can afford one...

A quick search on Amazon results in about 200 - 300 dollar for a 4-8 channel recording setup with camera's.

So you can estimate it would cost you about (250-350 dollar to Philipine money) (knowing that Philipines are expensive as hell.)

That would be around 15000PhP at least...

I might just be able to pull this one off if I work part time for a bit...
