Need serious help please

my problem is with windows 8.1 and my mouse and keyboard first my mouse works except for trying to left click left clicking on anything makes it bring up the properties tab of let's say my google chrome shortcut on my desktop second my keyboard doesn't work at all except for when I hit the e key and it inputs the euro symbol which doesn't make since because I live in the U.S. I even re-installed windows 8.1 via USB

Tried different keyboard/mouse?

Different USB ports?

Are you using a USB hub?

Do the peripherals work on a different computer?

Have you installed drivers that have come with your peripherals? (Not often necessary, but may be in your case)

Yes. I have tried every port usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 as well as ps/2. Nothing works. It as to be a problem with windows itself.

What about my other questions? With a clean install, It's less likely to be a Windows issue and more to do with incompatibility or a physical problem with the peripherals.

 

It is also possible that the device settings are messed up. Is the input language and keyboard layout set correctly. You can check the mouse settings too and make sure that the buttons aren't inverted. Installing the drivers for these devices may or may not solve this but it's worth a shot.

Has to be windows started doing it after I woke my computer from sleep and is still doing it after fresh install mouse and keyboard work fine in bios, my keyboard driver downloads on its own since it's a razor but still doesn't work after that

I meant the offical drivers rather than the default ones (unless microsoft update gets those for you). Did you try checking the device settings?

Got a generic sub mouse and an old ps/2 keyboard working temp by uninstalling all mouse and keyboard drivers in device manager unplugging the mouse and keyboard restarting and plugging them in after reboot

Do your original keyboard and mouse work if you plug them in at the same time as the old ones?

Have you tried going to the razer website and downloading the latest drivers from there just to be sure?

Does the mouse work if you unplug the keyboard? It sounds like your ctrl key is stuck.

fixed was a windows double driver problem
